The all-day conference on October 5 will begin with registration and check-in from 8:00-8:45am. The substance will include four panels with three to four participants, each addressing a different aspect of road diets and similar initiatives. Topics include the impacts on businesses, traffic, and emergency response times, among others. Each panel will start with presentations by expert each panelist, followed by an open discussion and audience Q&A. The panels will last 90 minutes each, with breaks in between. Your registration includes access to the event and restaurant as well as a continental-style breakfast, a three course lunch, and an optional cash bar happy hour at the event’s conclusion. Lunch at the midpoint of the conference. We’ll start with a selection of appetizers served family style so that you can interact with the folks at your table. We’ll offer several main courses you can choose from, based on the Mar Vista’s famous panoply of chef-inspired dishes. And if you still have room there will be dessert options as well!


As part of your registration you’ll also be invited to a Friday evening (October 4) walking tour of the infamous Venice Boulevard road diet. The tour will be led by experts from Keep The U.S. Moving and will include opportunities to speak with local business owners, residents, and community representatives about their experiences with the road diet and it impacts on the community.
